Irving Zocks 92, of Metuchen, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Perth Amboy and has resided in Metuchen for the past 58 years.

Irving was a self employed Certified Public Accountant for 67 years with his office originally in Perth Amboy before relocating to Fords in 1985.

He was a member of Temple Neve Shalom in Metuchen, and the Knights of Pythias. He was also a 62 year master mason at Lafayette Lodge #27 F & AM, a member of the NJ Association of Public Accountants, the National Society of Accountants, and was the former treasurer of the Madison Township Board of Education.

Irving was predeceased by his wife Ruth in 2006. He is survived by his children Burton Zocks and his wife Marina of Old Bridge, and Linda Deutchman and her husband Eric of Westfield, three grandchildren Jennifer, Melissa, and Andrew, three great grandchildren Leah, Ryan, and Samantha, and his sister Bernice Waffenfeld of Monroe.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Interment was in Beth Israel Memorial Park.
