Irv Roberts, 86, of Madison, passed away on September 11, 2018, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was born in Perth Amboy on September 28, 1931.  Irv was the Owner of Lexigraphics in New York City. He graduated Rutgers Newark University, Class of 1956, where he was the Captain of the basketball team and was a starting pitcher on the baseball team. He enjoyed Broadway shows and was an avid reader. He loved all sports and was a fan of the NY Mets. Irving loved throwing parties for his family and friends.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel Rubinoff and Sol Roberts; and two sisters, Esther Golub and Rose Lampert.

Irv is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosalyn (nee Annunziata) Roberts, of Madison; two daughters, Stephanie Roberts Phipps and her husband, Steve, of Florham Park and Tracy Buckner and her husband, Cole, of Far Hills; a son, Michael Roberts and his wife, Anna, of Perth, Australia;  and three grandchildren: James and Natalie Buckner and Taylor Phipps.

The family will receive mourners on Friday 12 Noon at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Services will follow in the funeral home at 1 pm. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Irv's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, the Parkinson's Foundation or Autism Speaks.
