Obituary of Irene Matisz


Irene Matisz, 94, of Union Beach, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Matisz was born in Perth Amboy to the late Charles and Marya Pasko and had lived in Perth Amboy before moving to Union Beach seven years ago. She was a homemaker. Irene was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Matisz in 2007, a son Kevin in 1995, four sisters, four brothers and a great grandson Tyler in 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Brooke of Union Beach, two granddaughters, Monica Casabianca and her husband Michael and Corrina Mitchelli, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Entombment will follow in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge. Visitation hours will be held Wednesday from 9:30 am till time of Service.
