Irene Frances Hogya 91 of Perth Amboy entered into eternal rest, January 10, 2018, at her home.  She was born in Detroit, MI, and has resided in Perth Amboy for the past 85 years.

Irene worked as a seamstress at Maidenform in Perth Amboy before retiring to raise her family.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords.

Irene was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her parents Cecelia and John Cichonski, and sisters Anna and Jania Cichonski.  She is survived by her children Jane Hogya of Perth Amboy, and Joseph Jr. of East Windsor, her brother Edward Chandler of Weeki Wachee, FL, her grandson Gregory and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.  Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday from 10am to 11 am.  In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to Parkinson's Foundation or Angel Paws in Colonia.
