Irene Conover, 94 years old of Old Bridge, NJ, passed away on March 14, 2021 at Hackensack Meridian Hospital in Old Bridge, NJ. Irene was originally from Port Deposit, MD. She was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Albert and Ella Elizabeth Smith Grove, Sr.

Irene is survived by her 2 sons and daughter, Thomas, Jeffrey & Diane Conover; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph B. Grove and William J. Grove, Sr. and sister, Estelle Jensen.

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Conover, Jr.; brothers, Charles H. Grove, Ferdinand A. Grove, Franklin D. Grove, David F. Grove, and Harold L. Grove and sisters, Bernedette Towson and Janet Krekemeyer.

Irene had a passion for spending time with family, especially when a riveting game of dominos took place. She also enjoyed game shows, dancing, bingo and any opportunity for gambling. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's, ASPCA or The Michael J Fox Foundation (for Parkinson's).

Family and friends may visit Saturday, March 20 ^th , from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. A Funeral Service will commence at 11:00am at the funeral home, followed by burial at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
