Ira Myron Dreyer, 90, of Edison, passed away on July 16, 2024, at Roosevelt Care Center, Edison.  Ira was born in Bronx, NY, and lived in Edison for 64 years.  He was the Valedictorian of his High School class, went on to study Architecture at Cooper Union, and owned S & D Sales in Metuchen for over 60 years. He was happily married to Gloria for 65 years before her sudden passing in March of 2023.  Ira was predeceased by his parents, Mollie and David Dreyer of Brooklyn, NY; his sister, Ruby Dreyer, resides in East Brunswick, NJ.

Ira was a huge Yankee fan and was fortunate enough to see them win a World Series in person.

He is survived by his three daughters: Mindy Dreyer; Dawn Valovcin and her husband, Mike; and Ellen Ogden; his grandchildren: Rachel Love and her husband, Zach; Tyler Valovcin and his fiancée, Sarah Masters; and Riana Wolff and Denim Wolff.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by interment at Beth Israel Memorial Park Woodbridge.
