August 18, 1942 – December 20, 2024
Inge Darroch, 82, of Woodbridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ, following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Darroch was born in Odense, Denmark, to the late Ejlif and Anna Kjems, and moved to the United States with her family as a child. She grew up in Fords, NJ. She was a graduate of the Woodbridge High School class of 1961.
Inge worked for Amerchol in Edison, NJ, in the Accounts Payable department and also for Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ. She was a member of the Danish Sisterhood, Freja Lodge #36, in NJ, where she served as President for many years. She was extremely proud of her Danish heritage. She was also a member of St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Edison, NJ, where she donated her time working at the church Thrift Shop on weekends. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and loved spending time with her family, often playing cards with her grandchildren. Affectionately known as "Mor-Mor," she was regarded as a second mother or grandmother to many of her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Archibald W. Darroch, who passed away in 2013, and her brothers, Arne, Elmer, and Ejvind Kjems.
She will be dearly missed by her loving family; daughter Ingrid Bauer and husband Howie, daughter Brigitte Smythe and her husband Richard, all of Fords; her grandchildren, Emily and Craig Cicardo of Forked River, Thomas Bauer and fiancée Samantha Collura, Nicholas, Vincent, and Owen Smythe. She will also be lovingly missed by her two precious great-granddaughters, Cora and Josie Cicardo.
She also leaves behind her sister, Ulla Reid of Easton, PA, her sister-in-law, Patricia Gerpheide of Los Angeles, CA, beloved godchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 3 pm to 7 pm, with a prayer service at 5:30 pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
