Ildefonso Rivas' Obituary
Ildefonso Rivas, 93, of Perth Amboy died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy.
Born in Cuba, he has resided in the area since 1967. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perth Amboy and an active member of the Odd Fellows Lodge-Perez Ocha Chapter #281. He had worked as an inspector for Basco Manufacturing in Perth Amboy where he retired from in 1991.
Ildefonso was predeceased by his wife, Catalina in 2000; sisters: Irene Mendez, and Elena Rivas; and a nephew, Gerald Mendez. He is survived by his sister, Anna Orduna of Perth Amboy and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy. Cremation will take place privately. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
