Ignazio E. D' Amico, 90, of Hopelawn died Monday, December 13, 2010, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy.
He was born in Chester, Pennsylvania. He was formerly of Perth Amboy and moved to Hopelawn 13 years ago. Ignazio
was employed with the U.S Government working as a Supervisor in the Shipping Department at the Raritan Arsenal in Edison for 31 years before retiring in 1970. He was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary RC Church in Hopelawn and was an avid rollerskater and dancer. He served in the Army during WW II.
Ignazio was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Zegalik on December 1st. Surviving are his brother, Samuel D'Amico of Hopelawn; his sister, Rose Baginsky of Toms River; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 17, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. from the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, followed by a Funeral Mass at The Church of the Most Holy Rosary, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Most Holy Rosary Cemetery, Fords. Visitation will be on Thursday December 16, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Society.
