Howard "Doug" Vanderhoff, age 74, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at the Houston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was born in Newark, NJ on May 11, 1951. After graduating Woodbridge High School as part of the Class of 1970, Doug worked as an HVAC mechanic for the Local Union-68 in Caldwell, NJ.

Doug is predeceased by his parents, Ward and Jennie (Blizzard) Vanderhoff.

Surviving Doug are his brothers, Ward Vanderhoff Jr. and James Vanderhoff; his sister, Peggy Hanaver and her husband Ron; his nephews along with their spouses, Paul and Christina Vanderhoff, and Daniel and Emily Hanaver; and his nieces Jennifer Terrell and Rebekah Hanaver.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will then begin at 11 AM at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Chris Sadlo. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
