Horacio C. Beato, 81, of Fords, passed away at JFK Medical Venter on May 2, 2024. He was born on July 3, 1942, in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. Horacio was a Truck Driver for Englert in East Brunswick. He was a member of the Portuguese Sporting Club and a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima of the Rosary Church in Perth Amboy. He enjoyed soccer. Horacio served in the Portuguese Army as a Peacekeeper during the Mozambique Civil War.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cecilia Beato, of Fords; a daughter, Lelia Beato Nascimento, and her husband, Tony, of Sayreville; and a grandson, Michael Julian Nascimento.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2024, 4-8 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will begin Monday 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima of the Rosary Church in Perth Amboy. Entombment will follow in St Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
