Hildelisa Gomez, 82, of Perth Amboy, passed away on July 25, 2021, at her daughter's residence in Sewaren. She was born on December 23, 1938, in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba.  Hildelisa worked for Mattel Toys until they relocated their facility.  At that time, she took a position as a preschool Teacher's Aide.  When her beloved husband, Ramon, passed in 1997, she left the school to run the grocery store he owned and operated.  Hildelisa eventually retired in 2004 and focused on spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She had a passion for shoes and doing crossword puzzles.

Hildelisa was predeceased by her husband, Ramon Demetrius Gomez, in 1997 and her son, Ramon in 1967.

She is survived by a daughter, Madeline Garcia, and her husband, Mario, of Sewaren; a son, Ramon Gomez, and his future wife, Prisma, of Perth Amboy; and seven grandchildren: Dyana, Mario Ramon, Emily, Ramon, Ivana, Destiny, and Anthony.

Hildelisa was a loving mother and grandmother who was beloved and cared for by her family.  Her passing has left an empty spot in their hearts but her legacy will never be forgotten.  Her family will treasure the memories they have of vacations, holidays and dinners they shared as well as just dancing around the house having fun.

Funeral services were private and were entrusted to the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Interment was in Alpine Cemetery.
