Helene Pauline Kijak of New Jersey died in Raleigh, NC, on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, on January 30, 1920 to the late John and Pauline Lopas.

Helene grew up in a loving family in New Jersey.  She graduated from Plainfield Adventist Academy and secretarial school before going to work for her dad at Middlesex Bus Company in Woodbridge.   Helene married David Kijak in July 1949.  She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband David and her brothers, John, Frank and Daniel and sister Violet.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice K. Henry and son-in-law John M. Henry along with many cherished Lopas and Kijak nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a great-great nieces and nephews.  Helene was especially blessed to have the loving support of her 2 nieces, Arlynne Hill and Sue Azzolino along with their families at the end of life.

There will be a graveside service at 12:00 noon on Saturday January 19, 2019 at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.  The family will receive friends after the service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral, Fords.
