Helene S. Gadek (Mendoker), of Las Vegas, Nevada, (formerly of Newark, Delaware and Perth Amboy, New Jersey), passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2017. She worked in the medical records department of Raritan Bay Medical Center until1988 and then retired from Christiana Care Health System in 2002. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Las Vegas, Nevada. In her spare time, Helene loved to go to the casinos and watch "Dancing With the Stars."

Helene is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Helen Mendoker of Newark, Delaware. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela & Ernest Thomas of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Deborah Gadek of Sicklerville, NJ, son and daughter-in-law, Gerard & Diana Gadek of Arlington, Washington and her sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and John Yurcik of Wharton, NJ. She was the devoted grandmother of five grandchildren, Shawn Yunker, Devon Gadek, Kaitlin Gadek, Jason Gadek and his wife Danielle and Jessica Frank, three great-grandchildren Dalton, Jameson and Aniela, and her nieces & nephews.

A gravesite service and burial will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in Helene's name can be made to St. Frances de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 1111 N. Michael Way, Las Vegas, Nevada 89108.
