Helena M. "Sis" Fierro, 88, a resident of Metuchen since 1943, passed away on Saturday at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Margaret Fierro and her brother, Francis C. Fierro (1997).

She was a retired accounting supervisor for Universal Fragrance Corp. in South Plainfield.
She was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen, was a member of the Cathedral Council of Catholic Women at the church and served as a volunteer with the Diocese of Metuchen Mission Office. She was a member of the Metuchen Republican Club and was a district committee women for the Boro of Metuchen, and a member of the NJ Federation of Republican Women.

She leaves behind her beloved sister, Eleanor F. Sharp and brother in law, Thomas of Beach Haven. also surviving are 5 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. from the Flynn and son/ Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840, followed by an 10:15 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral, interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m.
