Obituary

Helen Kuzma, 87, of Colonia, passed peacefully at the RWJU Hospital in New Brunswick on Saturday, September 21, 2013.

She was born in Perth Amboy, was formerly of Sewaren and has resided in Colonia since 1953.
She graduated St. Peters School of Nursing in New Brunswick and received her Masters Degree in Health Education from Trenton State College.
Helen began her nursing career at Perth Amboy General Hospital, became a school nurse and later a health educator for the Woodbridge Twp Board of Education at JFK High School among other schools in the township, before retiring after over 20 years of service in 1984.
She was a communicant of St. Cecelia's Church, Iselin.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles (1986), her son David (1976) her granddaughter Carol Ann (1998) and brother, Joseph Strus.

Helen leaves behind her 3 beloved children, Thomas M. and his wife, Sophie, of Linden, Charles M. of Colonia, and Joan KorygoskI and her husband, Michael of Lanoka Harbor, and her 4 dear grandchildren Tara, Peter, Leah and Shane.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn & son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy, at St. Cecelia's Church, Iselin, interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at the funeral home.
