Helen Celano Papkin, 92, of Brooklyn, New York, died on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Richmond Union Medical Center in Staten Island. She was born in New York City and resided in Brooklyn most of her life.

Helen worked as a Meat wrapper at Shalom's in Brooklyn for 20 years retiring in 1983.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1984, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Papkin in 2003. She is survived by her son, Bruce and his wife, Donna, Papkin of Edison; four granddaughters: Angela, Elena, Erica, and Alexis; and two great- grandsons: Troy and Jared.

Funeral Services on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 9:45am from Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ followed by a 10:15am Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.

Visitation on Tuesday, June 29, from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
