Helen Magyar, 89, formerly of Edison, died on January 3, 2012, in Smithville, RI.

Mrs. Magyar was born in Perth Amboy and raised in Fords. She moved to Massachusetts in 1993. She is a retired Accountant, having worked for Hatco Chemical Co. in Keasby for 21 years. She is a former parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Fords.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1977. Mrs. Magyar is survived by her son, John Magyar and his wife Barbara of Attleboro, MA; four granddaughters: Christine Baker, Natalie LaSalle, Julie, and Michelle Magyar. She is also survived by a niece, Amy Kudelka.

Friends may call at the Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords on Thursday from 8:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:30 Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
