Helen Komisky, 91, of Fords, died on October 14, 2012, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. Born September 4, 1921, she was a life-long resident of Fords. She was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Class of 1939. Helen volunteered for the American Heart Foundation and the American Cancer Society. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Komisky; two late sisters, Mary Komisky and Anna Smericki; and a late nephew, Paul Komisky, Jr. She is survived by her nephew Donald Smericki and his wife Linda of Fords; niece Patricia Palochko and her husband Joseph of Fords; three great nieces: Pamela Hatzlhoffer and her husband Frank of Fords, Patricia McLaughlin and her husband Brian of Michigan, and Sharon Baksa and her husband Robert of Edison; two great nephews, Joseph Palochko of Hazlet and Christian Palochko of CT; great-great nieces and nephews: Frankie, Allison, Rachel, Grace, Megan, Katie, and Brianna.
Visitation will be Thursday 9-10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Services will begin at 10 am followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
