Helen (Sapun) "Gram" Kaufman, 93 of South Amboy, passed away on November 22, 2013 at JFK Haven Hospice, Edison. Born in Sewaren, she was a former resident of Edison for over 35 years and presently resided in South Amboy.

Helen is predeceased by her husband Hyman Kaufman (1961) and sisters, Catherine Dudeck and Mary Lamp. She is survived by her daughter Paulette and son-in-law Sandy Katz of South Amboy; three grandsons, Jay and wife Nicole of Morganville , Scott and wife Caroline of Westfield and Eric and wife Starr of South Salem, NY, five great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Amelia , Eli, Miles, and Ruby and nieces and nephews.

Helen was a member of the Edison Senior Citizens, a master storyteller, devoted mother and grandmother and lover of animals

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11AM, from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Internment will be in the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery of the Assumption, Hopelawn. The family will receive mourners from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Shiva will be held on Monday and Tuesday in South Amboy.
