Obituary of Helen Rose Kaczmarek


Helen Rose (Skibinski) Kaczmarek, 90, of Perth Amboy, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Mrs. Kaczmarek was born in Perth Amboy to the late Walter and Lottie (Scienski) Skibinski and had lived all of her life in Perth Amboy. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, class of 1944, and had attended Drake's Business School.

Helen was employed by Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy for thirty years before retiring in 2000. Prior to that she had worked for Garden State Hospitalization Plan formerly of Perth Amboy for ten years.

She was a communicant of the Good Shepherd Parish - Holy Spirit Church in Perth Amboy.

Mrs. Kaczmarek was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank in 2000, and also by her sister Jane Zisko.

She is survived by her son: Frank J. Kaczmarek and wife Susan of Loveland, CO., her daughter: Jean Lindstrom and husband Robert of Broomfield, CO., her brother: Raymond Skibinski of Edison, two sisters: Anne Becker of South Amboy, and Stephanie Fazekas of Edison, her two grandchildren: Karen and Brian and her loved ones Dominique and Leah.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 9:30 am mass in the Good Shepherd Parish- Holy Rosary Church in Hopelawn. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in South Amboy. Visitation hours will be held Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Parish 625 Florida Grove Rd., Hopelawn, NJ 08861 or the charity of one's choice.
