Helen Jean Comerford, 85, formerly of Springfield, passed peacefully, on December 29, 2017.

She graduated from Columbia High School in South Orange and the American Institute of Banking.

She was a member of the Maplewood Women's Club and was a long time member of St. James Church in Springfield.

She was a former Vice President and Assistant Comptroller for many years, with the Maplewood Bank & Trust Co. in Maplewood, before retiring.

She was predeceased by her three brothers; Wilbur, Robert and John T. Comerford.

Jean leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews; Deborah Hogan, Patricia Taronis, Mary Ann Durso and John T., James, Thomas, Larry and Barbara Joan Comerford and her goddaughter and grand-niece, Sarah Hogan and many more grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 9am to 10am, followed with a funeral service at 10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
