Helen Irene Brunello, 81, formerly of Iselin, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014, at JFK Hospital in Edison.  Helen was born in Hillside and was a resident of Iselin for 45 years prior to moving to Colonia to reside with her daughter 12 years ago.

Helen enjoyed spending her time with family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of Helen's favorite things to do was to go pocketbook shopping with her daughters. She was involved in local politics and was the former Vice-Chair of the Woodbridge Democratic Club.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Brunello (1989).

She is survived by her five daughters: Laura Iovine and husband, Mike, of FL; Kathleen Prochoren of Woodbridge; Sherry Wandras and her husband, Fred, of Colonia; Toni-Ann Webster and her husband, Ike, of GA; and Helen Fish and her husband, Steven, of Iselin; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister and a brother.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at 8:30 AM from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ, followed by a 9 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
