Obituary of Helen E. Bartkowiak


Helen E. (Bak) Bartkowiak, 87, of Fords, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Mrs. Bartkowiak was born in Woodbridge to the late Andrew and Mary Choma Bak and had lived the last fifty four years in Fords. She was employed by Revlon in Edison for many years before retiring. Helen was a member of the Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords and of the Altar Rosary Society and the. Columbiettes Council 9199. She was also a member of the Fords Keasbey Seniors.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Bartkowiak in 2008, and by three sisters Mary Kurucz, Anna Liska and Margaret Kinal.
She is survived by her son, Michael Bartkowiak of Somerset, her brother, Andrew Bak of Yardville, her sister, Rosemarie Lohli of Las Vegas, NV, her grandson, Michael and also by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 8:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 9:00 am mass in the Our Lady of Peace Church, also in Fords. Entombment will follow in the St. James Mausoleum in Hopelawn. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 26 Maple Ave., Edison NJ 08837
