Helen C. Ballek, 97, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Fords, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Lakewood Ranch Hospice House in Bradenton, FL.

Born and raised in Fords, NJ to George and Elizabeth Choma, she was one of nine children. Helen was a long-time parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Fords. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Anton Ballek in 2005. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Simkovich and husband Michael of Toms River, NJ and by her brother, Michael Choma and wife Brenda of Inverness, FL and she is predeceased by her siblings John, Anna, George, Elizabeth, Steve and Joseph. Helen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Monday, January 11 ^th , 9:00am to 10:00am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords, followed by interment with her husband at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
