A funeral liturgy celebrating the lives of Helen (Tyilian) Rivas and her brother, Lawrence Tyilian, will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Fords, NJ.  Interment of their cremated remains will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords with military honors for Lawrence.

Lawrence passed away on May 13, 2018, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.  Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Fords for the past 60 years.  He was a Senior Analyst with Colgate Palmolive in Piscataway for 27 years prior to his retirement in 1997.  Lawrence was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War.

Helen passed away on June 27, 2018, at J.F.K. Hospital in Edison.  Born in Middlesex County, she too was a resident of Fords for the past 60 years.  Helen was a Homemaker.

Both Helen and Lawrence were predeceased by their siblings, Veronica Tyilian and Mary Seman.  Helen was also predeceased by her husband, Orel Rivas.  Surviving is their nephew, Michael Seman; several grand-nieces, and one grand-nephew.
