Harry Kratochvil, 92, of Fords, passed away on November 29, 2016 at JFK Medical Center, Edison.

He was born in Newark and resided in Fords since 1956.

Harry was a Staff Electrical Engineer for 37 years with Cooper Industries in Parsippany, retiring in 1989. He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operation, 1943-1946.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords.

Harry was predeceased by his wife, Marie in 2002.

Surviving are his daughters, Patricia Platner and her husband Donald of West Orange, and Diane Bracken of San Roman, CA., his grandchildren, Donny Platner and Shawn Bracken, his great-granddaughter, Chloe Bracken, his sister, Emma Palazewski, and several nieces.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 10AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Viewing will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
