Harold R. Peterson, 87, of Fords, passed away peacefully at his home on December 14, 2015. He worked many years as a member of Bricklayers New Brunswick Local No. 5. Harold served in the US Army during the Korean War and was proud of his service during World War II helping to make ammunition for the war effort at the Raritan Arsenal in Edison, NJ. He enjoyed woodworking, making birdhouses and reindeer for display at Christmas.
Harold was predeceased by his parents, Harold R. and Irene Peterson and his brother, Erwin (Pete) Peterson. He is survived by his sister, Catherine Peterson and Norma Kay, three nieces, a nephew, four great-nephews, a great-niece and two great-great-nieces.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on December 18, 2015 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Viewing will be Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
