H. Dorothy Maciorowski, age 80 of Metuchen, died on Sunday at Care One at the Highlands in Edison. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Metuchen for the past 30 years.

Dorothy was a Nursing Professor at William Paterson University in Wayne for 30 years, retiring in 1995. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1946, Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing, Class of 1950, and earned a Master's degree in Nursing from Columbia University. She was a communicant at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen and a volunteer at JFK Medical Center and Rutgers School of Agriculture.

Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, William A. and Eleanor Maciorowski of Lakewood, NJ, her niece, Mary Ellen Rubayo and her husband, Jose of Richmond Hill, Canada, her nephew, Kevin and his wife, Erin Maciorowski of Neptune City, NJ and her five great nephews, Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Christopher, and Ryan
