Grace Fertig, of Woodbridge, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Perth Amboy on February 18, 1918, she owned and operated Fertig's Store on New Brunswick Avenue with her husband, Jerry Fertig. Grace was a former member of Temple Adath Israel in Woodbridge and a life-long member of Hadassah.

Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerry, in 2000; her sister, Elsie Perlin Onton; and brothers: Jack and Matthew Perlin. Surviving are her daughter, Joanne Fertig and husband Whitford Schuyler of Silver Spring, MD; son, Richard Fertig and wife Sue of Matawan; and 4 grandchildren: Adam Schuyler, Justin, Eric, and Leah Fertig.

Funeral Service will be held today, August 26, 2011, at 1:00pm from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
