Gloria O. (Elliott) Gutwein of Edison, passed away at Heritage at Clara Barton on Saturday, April 11, 2026. She was 93.

Born in Saint -Armand, Quebec, Canada, Gloria was a long-time resident of Edison. She spent many years living abroad in England and Peru, and a lifetime of travel and exploration around the world. She was an executive at The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Piscataway, NJ. Gloria was an active, long-time member of Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Metuchen and served on the Edison Planning Board for many years.

Gloria was predeceased by her first husband, Stephen Negron Jr., her late husband Robert Gutwein and brother Alfred Elliott. She is survived by her daughters: Dawna Zippo, of Edison,  and Stacy Negron-Sheckells of Eugene, OR.; son in law: Edward Zippo, grandchildren: Vanessa, Kirsten, Meredith, Jordan and Korryn;  great-grandchildren: Harper, Lena, Julien, Charlotte and Logan. She is also survived by her sisters, Gilda Pinedo and Shirley Pochick.

Cremation was private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Flynn and son /Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ.
