Gloria Christensen, 81, of Fords, passed peacefully on Thursday morning, September 27, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Carteret, and had resided in Fords since 1952.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.

Mrs. Christensen was employed for over 10 years with the Sunshine Bisquit Co. in Sayreville before retiring many years ago.

She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Christensen who died in 2003.

Gloria leaves behind her son, Robert Christensen and his fiance, Carol Le Tohic of Metuchen, her daughter, Linda Staples and her husband William, of Dubois, PA, her 3 grandchildren, Samantha Emma Staples of PA, Stephanie Rizzo of Brick, Donna Shaughnessy and her husband John, her 4 great grandchildren, Ryan Joseph, Brittany Ann, Caitlin Marie, and Megan Lynn and her faithful companion, Sandi-Mae, her Peek-a-poo dog.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords,

Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm
