Ginette Kravet, 79, of Metuchen, passed away in Boca Raton Community Hospital on February 6, 2015. She was born in Paris, France on August 8, 1935. She has resided in Metuchen for the last 50 years. Ginette was a Social Worker, spending her time at Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Services and Raritan Bay Medical Center. She was a Congregant of Temple Beth Mordecai and the Past President of the Beth Mordecai Sisterhood. She was a member of the Board of the Woman's League of Conservative Judaism. Ginette loved to paint and enjoyed growing orchids. Her greatest love was her husband, children and grandchildren.
Ginette was predeceased by her son, Steven Kravet, in 1981.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alvin Kravet, of Metuchen; son, Donald Kravet and his wife, Louise Cohen, of Larchmont, NY; daughter, Elise Haderer and her husband, Ken, of Winston Salem, NC; and six grandchildren: Emma, Annie, Sophie, Steven, Jessie, and Allie.
Funeral Services will be 11:30 am, Monday, February 9, 2015, at Temple Beth Mordecai in Perth Amboy. The family will receive mourners from 10:30 to 11:30 at the Temple. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
