Gerald "Jerry" John Anderson, 59, of South Amboy, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Born in Perth Amboy, he had resided in South Amboy for the last 12 years. He was a professional spackler and sheet rocker for most of his life and was currently employed with Old School Builders, Fords. Jerry was an avid fisherman and a huge Oakland Raiders and NJ Devils Fan.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harold Edward Anderson and Margaret Anderson and his sister, Theresa Kubick.
Jerry leaves behind his beloved wife of 17 years, Mary Anderson; his two sons, Jerry Anderson, Jr. and his wife Kristen, of Cliffwood, and Christian Anderson, at home; his daughter, Nicole Manso of Keansburg; four grandchildren: Leah, Jada, Louis, and Noah; his brothers, Harold "Butch" Anderson of Fords and Jimmy Anderson; his longtime companion, Patty Keelyn, of South Amboy; and his sister, Valerie Strucich and her husband, Joseph, of Fords. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by interment in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
