Georgia E. Gumbs 89, of Perth Amboy, entered into eternal rest, August 14, 2017 at her home.  She was born on July 27, 1928 in Clinton, NC, and has resided in Perth Amboy since 1955.

She worked in Food Service with the Perth Amboy Board of Education for 30 years before retiring.

Georgia was predeceased by her husband Marson V. Gumbs in 1986, and her children Emeria L. Underwood and James F. Underwood.  She is survived by her son Tyrone Underwood of Matawan, and her grandchildren Yolanda, Monique, Ariel, Malik, and Jemas, and her sister Alice Spell of Clinton, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 21, 2017 at 12 noon at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy.  Burial will follow in NJ Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.  Visitation is Monday from 10am to 12 noon.
