George J Plicta's Obituary
George J. Plichta 79, of Fords entered into eternal rest, Tuesday July 30, 2013 at his home. He was born in Czechoslovakia and is formerly of Hillside before moving to Fords 50 years ago.
George was a Chemical Engineer with AT&T in Kearny and Clark for 44 years before retiring in 1993.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords, and a member of the Slovak club.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
George is survived by his wife Agnes S. Burnos Plichta, his children Edward J. and his wife Joanne of Howell, David A. and his wife Kathleen of Flemington, and Linda Lee Deschenes of East Windsor, five grandchildren Gregory, David, Melanie, Nicholas, and Gendar, and two brothers Frank of East Brunswick and Paul of Pine Bush, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10:30 am funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 4pm to 8 pm.
