Obituary

George Rodgers Parker, 65, of Hopelawn, passed away on December 31, 2015.
He was born and resided in Perth Amboy for most of his life, moving to Hopelawn 3 years ago.
For 10 years, George was store manager at Garden State Liquors in Perth Amboy.
He was an avid San Francisco 49ers and NY Yankee fan, for many years, he belonged to a pool league at the Flat Iron Tavern Perth Amboy, and was a former Scoutmaster of Troop 13, Perth Amboy.
George was predeceased by his parents, William and Adeline, his brother, Thomas W, his sister, Beatrice Parker and sister-in- law, Sandra Parker. Surviving is his twin brother, Harold and his wife Lynn of Fords, his brothers, William and his wife Patricia of Manchester, Wayne and his wife Cheri of Brick, his sisters, Dawn Bombardier and her husband John of Woodbridge, Meg Mondo and her husband Rocky of Woodbridge, Dee Parker of Hopelawn, his godson, Robert Marzella, and many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM on January 5, 2016 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 183 Rector St. Perth Amboy. Viewing will in church, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
