George F. Lyons, 93, of Fords, passed away on January 21, 2025, at the St. Joseph's Home in Woodbridge. He was born in Perth Amboy on January 14, 1932. George was a Veteran of the US Navy. He was a Rigger and Manager for DuPont in Parlin. George was a member of the American Legion in Perth Amboy. He enjoyed watching classic films, baseball and boxing.

George was predeceased by his wife, Naomi R. Lyons in 1998.

He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Gulics, of Clinton; a son, George J. Lyons, and his wife, Mary Lou, of Somerset; a grandson, Timothy Gulics and his wife Heidi, of Converse, TX; a brother, Gary Lyons, and his wife, Anne Lyons, of South Amboy; and two sisters, Helen Ensel, of South Plainfield; and Barbara Payer, of East Brunswick, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 6-8 pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863.
