George Keelty, 84, of Spring Lake Heights, formerly of North Edison, passed away at home on December 8, 2022. He was born on June 22, 1938, in Jersey City. George was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and St. Peters College. He was an entrepreneur and self-employed businessman in print advertising and a founder of a successful computer and security consulting business. George was a member of the Metuchen Country Club for over 50 years. George was a huge fan of all sports, especially the NY Giants and NY Yankees, and was an avid golfer who loved playing golf with friends and family.

George was pre-deceased by his parents, George and Mildred Keelty of Jersey City; and his son, Dennis Gerard Keelty, who passed away in 1988.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Grace Keelty, of Spring Lake Heights formerly of North Edison; two daughters, Karen Keelty, and her husband Rick Gartland, of Scotch Plains, and Mary Beth Keelty, of North Edison; a grandson, Kevin Keelty Gartland; two brothers, Richard Keelty, and his wife, Robyn, of Morris Plains, and Dennis Keelty, of Hackettstown; sister, Barbara Aranoff, and her husband, Dan, of Morristown; and brother-in-law, Arthur Cullen, and Wife, Judy. George is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 pm, at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Helena's Church on Thursday at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
