Obituary

George Dinkelacker passed away on April 8, 2018, at home with his loving and adoring family at his bedside.  George was born on August 1, 1935 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to the late George Dinkelacker, Sr. and Alice Mundie.  He grew up in Drums, Pennsylvania and was a 1955 graduate of West Hazleton High School.  George later moved to New Jersey where he was a resident of the Clara Barton Section of Edison Township for over 50 years.

George is predeceased by his beloved wife of over 55 years, Margie.  Together this beautiful union produced seven children to cherish his memory, Lisa Dzama and her husband, Greg of Edison, NJ, Amy Nissen and her husband, Jon of Washington, NJ, Sarah Dinkelacker of Edison, NJ, Gary Dinkelacker and his wife Cheryl of Fords, NJ, Eric Dinkelacker of Plainsboro, NJ, Mark Dinkelacker of Edison, NJ, and Otto Dinkelacker of Florida.  George is survived by twelve Grandchildren, Alicia, Christian, Gregory, Amanda, Matthew, Jessica, Joseph, Zach, Ben, Justin, Katy, and Richie.  Also surviving are five great-grandchildren.  Additionally, he is survived by his brother's James, Jerry, and Robert Dinkelacker, a sister Melissa May, nephews Ronnie Horinko and Jon Rusnak as well as a niece Terri Stek.

George was absolutely devoted to his family and was an extraordinarily kind, loving, sweet, and patient father and grandfather.  He took the most pleasure in having his children and especially grandchildren, around him.  He had such a strong work ethic that none could compare to.  George always shared his wisdom and taught all those around him so many valuable life lessons that will continue to be carried on long after his passing.  He was a man that was admired throughout the neighborhood.

George was an avid and talented gardener and was owner and operator of S.H. Rose, Inc. a company he started with an old pickup truck and lawnmower.  He was a retired Machinist for American Product, and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Words cannot express how much his family and friends will miss him.  The world is a better place because of him.
