George Louis Dillman, 90, of Perth Amboy, entered into eternal rest January 17, 2015, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Perth Amboy and was a life-long resident of the city.
He was a Business Engineer and Coordinator for 15 years with the Middlesex County School System before retiring in 1999. He had previously worked as a Draftsman in Perth Amboy and a Plant Engineer at M&T Chemicals.
George was a communicant of St Mary's RC Church in Perth Amboy. He was an accomplished pianist and a stained-glass craftsman. He enjoyed building model airplanes and was an animal lover and caretaker of strays.
He graduated from Rutgers Prep and attended Hiram College and Rutgers University.He was a Lt. Col. In the Air Force during WW II serving in Europe and served in the reserves during the Korean War.
George is survived by his wife, Anne Saghy Dillman; his son, Peter George and his wife Mary of Flemington; and his daughter, Geo-Anne Marie Dillman of Perth Amboy. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Patricia Dillman of Perth Amboy; and two grandchildren, Laura and Eric.
A funeral liturgy will be offered on Thursday at 10 am at St. Stephen's Church, 490 State St., Perth Amboy. Everyone is asked to meet at the church. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue Fords, NJ 08863.
