George M. Chalfa's Obituary
George M. Chalfa, 92, of Edison died August 7, 2011, at his home.
Born February 26, 1919, in Perth Amboy, he resided in Edison since 1952. George worked on the assembly line for Fords Motor Company in Edison for 32 years, retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945.
George was predeceased by his wife,Olga (Cherris), in 1998 and his brother, Michael. He is survived by his son, George of Edison; and his sister, Mary Sakson.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2011,
from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at Guardian Angels RC Church, Edison.
Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 10, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Haven Hospice,
