George Anis, 64, of Edison, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital on June 19, 2017. He was born in New York City on November 2, 1952. George was a retired Tractor Trailer Driver for New England Motor Freight. He was a Shop Steward for IAM. George enjoyed playing billiards and was politically attuned.

He was predeceased by his sister, Stephanie Chavez.

George is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ilene Anis, of Edison; daughter, Paulette Hardin and her husband, Matthew, of Ashburn, VA; two sons, Michael Anis of North Brunswick, and Joseph Anis of Edison; granddaughters, Vivienne and Brigitte Hardin; brother, Nick Anis of Diamond Bar, CA; and step-mother, Marylyn Anis of Florham Park.

Memorial visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2017, 4-7 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.
