Genevieve Recla (nee: Barron), 82, of Edison, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Born on Christmas Day in 1937 in Bacolod, Philippines, Genevieve was one of  thirteen children. A dedicated and skilled nurse, she worked for many years at Elizabeth General Medical Center (now Trinitas Regional Medical Center). Genevieve was also a long-time devoted communicant of Guardian Angels Church in Edison. A talented seamstress, Genevieve enjoyed making clothes, as well as watching her favorite teleserye (Filipino telenovelas), playing mahjong and relishing a nice cold beer.

Beloved wife of 57 years of Andres Recla. Loving mother of Andresito Recla, Jr., Gina Debulgado and Glenda Quaioit, all of the Philippines. Cherished grandmother of Lindy, May Anne, Therese, Katrina, Gerome and Gimmelle and great-grandmother of Ava, Leilah, Aiden, Vlad and Gabrielle. She is also survived by her five sisters, Nene Prudy, Marietta, Evelyn, Edith, Jesusa and one brother, Danilo.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, December 3 ^rd from 6-8pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen. A Funeral Service will commence at 7:45pm. Private Cremation will follow.
