Florence Gazi, 99, of Perth Amboy, passed away on October 25, 2016, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy on April 16, 1917.  Florence was a life-long resident of Perth Amboy. She was a retired teacher from the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption School. She was a communicant of St. Stephen's church and a member of the Holy Spirit Seniors. Florence was very active in the Woodbridge Elks Veteran's Committee.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Gazi, in 2008; three brothers: Edward and Henry Niemiera, and Stanley Nemara; four sisters: Helen Bielinski, Mary Rebovich, Stella Mathis, Lottie Gatyas, and Jean Bailek.

Florence is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863, on Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral services will begin Saturday 9:45 am at the funeral home, followed by a 10:30 Funeral Liturgy at St. Stephen's church in Perth Amboy. Entombment will be in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Colonia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed John Paul II Parish-St. Stephen's church.
