Freida Kooklin, 89, of Edison, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates. She was born in Perth Amboy and has resided in Edison for the past 61 years.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Fords, and a member of the Clara Barton Senior Social Club.

Freida was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1998 and her brothers: Stanley, Joseph, and Chester Jakubowski. She is survived by her children, Linda Hanna and her husband Robert of Hillsborough; John Kooklin III of Edison; and Joseph Kooklin and his wife Joanne of Fair Haven; five grandchildren: Karen Jeffers and her husband James; Jeffrey and Bonnie Kooklin; Christine Eberhard and her husband Paul; and Carol Kooklin; two great- grandchildren, Luke Eberhard and Elizabeth Jeffers; and her sister, Genevieve Obszarny, of Edison.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 10:30 am funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, N.J. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16, 2012, from 2:00-6:00 pm.
