Frederick A. Plaessmann, 94, passed away in peace at his home with his beloved wife at his side on July 20, 2024.

Frederick was born and raised in Germany.  He became quite interested in building things and inquisitive about how things worked.  This led to his extensive career as a machine design engineer for over 35 years.  If you wanted to know where he was at home, he was usually fiddling around with things on his workbench.  Even after his stroke, he developed tools to improve the use of his hands to be able to keep working.

Frederick is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Marianne; his son Walter; Walter's girlfriend Alison, son Henry; Henry's wife Janet and her daughters Janelle and Kaylee; grandson Dominic; sister Hiltrude Wahl and her family; niece Sylvia Mika and her husband Don; and nephews Mike, Ron, and Pete Wahl.

Cremation will take place privately.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home Home, Metuchen.
