Frederick C. Fischer, 82, of Edison, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2023. He was born on October 11, 1940, in Morristown. Fred was a graduate of Millburn High School in Millburn, NJ. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and his master's degree from Montclair State.  He was a teacher and then later a programmer for various companies, ending at Webcraft in North Brunswick.

For many years he sang as part of the men's and boys' choir at Grace Church, Newark.  After retiring from his last programming job, he sang in the Christ Church (Episcopal) choir in New Brunswick.

Frederick was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Fischer.

He is survived by his wife, Faith Heisler, of Edison; a son, Christopher A. Fischer, and his wife, Lori, of Tampa, FL; a daughter, Suzanne A. Fischer, and her husband, Jim Ullman, of Newland, NC; seven grandchildren: Amanda, Jordan, Julia, Austin and his wife Paige, Alissa, Noah, and Luke; and a brother, Herbert B. Fischer, of Bridgewater.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863 on April 15, 2023, 9-11 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 am. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
