Frederick Boese, 69, of Menlo Park Terrace, passed away on September 24, 2012 , at Jersey Shore Medical Center . He was born January 20, 1943 , in Jersey City . He was an Information Technology Manager for Lucent. He graduated from the University of Vermont and served as a Captain in the US Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a fan of the Giants and the Yankees.

Frederick was predeceased by his wife, Joan Boese, in 2003 and his sister, Patricia Kiss. He is survived by his three children: Bill Boese and his wife, Maria, of Charlotte , NC ; Steve Boese and his wife, Victoria, of Rochester , NY ; and Angela Boese of Stewartsville; three grandchildren: Bill, Annalise, and Patrick; his brother, James Boese of Brick; and his sister, Marilyn Chiavaro of Toms River .

Visitation will be on Friday, September 28, from 9:00-10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. , Fords, NJ 08863. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Cremation will be private.
