Fred Fischman, 90, of Verona, NJ, formerly of South Orange, passed away on September 13, 2016 at Canterbury at Cedar Grove. He was served in the Army during WWII. Fred owned and operated Mack Floor Covering, Newark and Kearny, a second generation business of 75 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, Rose and Emanuel and a brother Mervin.

Fred is survived by his four children, Marc, Scott, Todd and Randi; his five grandchildren, Amy (Ian), Jill (Cheryl), Aron (Mariana), Lisa and Ben; two great-grandchildren Alice and Thomas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:30 AM from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.

Shiva will be held on Thursday evening from 6-9 pm at the home of Lisa Fischman in Bloomfield.
